No-exam life insurance

Understanding who qualifies for rapid underwriting, how the process works, and what occurs if you don't qualify.

Numerous carriers provide rapid underwriting: for eligible applicants within age and amount parameters, the decision relies on application data, medication records, driving history and other resources rather than clinical testing. Many approvals arrive within 24 hours. Each rate quoted here notes whether testing is mandatory, possible or unnecessary.

What it changes

Rapid underwriting is not the same as no underwriting. Insurers verify all responses, and policies based on false information are contestable for two years. Carriers may still demand testing if information raises concerns; you decide whether to proceed.

Who tends to qualify

Generally those below age 60 seeking amounts within carrier limits, with no serious illnesses and no nicotine use during the prior 12 months. Carriers frequently approve recent lab results from doctor visits instead.

An exam, when required, typically runs 20–30 minutes with an examiner at your home or business in the Simi Valley region, with no cost to you. Cleaner results often lead to better rates for fit applicants, making exams potentially valuable rather than difficult.
